Portent - a fashion film by Nick Knight

In honor of the new Fall/Winter 2009-10 Collections for Men and Women on thecorner.com is “Portent”: a fashion film created and directed by Nick Knight, visionary talent and founder of SHOWstudio.

For the first time in the history of online fashion shopping, a legendary photographer captures the new Fall/Winter 2009-10 Collections with a strong visual masterpiece . thecorner.com has chosen Nick Knight, founder and director of SHOWstudio, to interpret this season’s key looks for worldwide trend-watchers with the fashion film “Portent”. Created exclusively for thecorner.com, the film heralds the debut of the Women’s Collections, which are depicted in a series of black and white Gothic-style shots and whose veils and movements evoke Renaissance paintings. The ultra-contemporary styling of Jonathan Kaye for womenswear and Simon Foxton for menswear, exalt this season’s groundbreaking style.

An allegorical love story and a sensual atmosphere provide the backdrop for extraordinary pieces from Maison Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Haider Ackermann and Rick Owens, just to name a few.
“Portent” is part of the “Fashion Revolution” exhibition dedicated to the work of SHOWstudio and Nick Knight, at the Somerset House in London from September 18th to December 22nd.
