The star figure of the project is Livia Firth, creative director of Eco-Age.com, a true fashion icon and an inspiring promoter of ethical fashion who leads an ecologically responsible lifestyle.
For the occasion and exclusively for yoox.com, Firth doubled as a fashion designer to deliver an eco party dress with a Fifties undercurrent that she donned on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival with her husband Colin.
Enriched with tonal embroidery, this discreet yet formal strapless style was manufactured for Reclaim to Wear by Cooperative Rinascere, committed to helping disabled people, arrives just in time for the upcoming Christmas festivities.
Besides exuding a golden screen appeal à la Grace Kelly, it tells of Firth’s background as it was inspired by a Fifties polka-dot dressed that belonged to her mother and which Firth discovered 33 years later still hanging in her wardrobe. “For yoox.com I decided to recreate a dress very similar in shape and spirit, a piece that suits ever occasion and body shape”
